India’s Paid Music Subscribers Could Hit 30 Million by 2028, EY-IMI Report Finds
India‘s paid music streaming subscriber base could grow to between 28 million and 30 million by 2028, up from an estimated 14 million as of December 2025, according to the EY and the Indian Music Industry (IMI) “How India Listens, Streams and Pays for Music” report, released Friday in Mumbai.
Charter TV Subscriber Losses Narrow to 21,000 in Second Quarter
The losses of TV video and Internet customers continue for Charter Communications, which reported its second quarter results on Friday.
The company, led by CEO Chris Winfrey, lost 172,000 Internet customers, compared with 117,000 Internet subscribers shed during the year-earlier period amid stiff competition from fixed wireless and fiber connection services. Charter narrowed its loss of TV customers to 21,000, against 80,000 TV customers dropped in the same period of 2025, as subscribers did more upgrades for entertainment products added.
