Watermelon Pictures has made another splash, acquiring North American rights to migration drama “Ashes,” directed and co-written by Mexican actor, director and producer Diego Luna.

The deal comes following the film’s world premiere in Cannes and ahead of its bow in Toronto next month.

There was one big name absent from FX‘s order of a new Sons of Anarchy project yesterday: the original series creator, Kurt Sutter.

As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline, FX has ordered Legends, which will reunite the core cast from the hit motorcycle gang drama in a “meta thriller.” In the limited series, the cast attends a fan convention where they get caught up in a dangerous life-imitating-art situation — a premise drawing comparisons to the beloved sci-fi comedy Galaxy Quest. The project was developed by series star Charlie Hunnam and Jonathan Groff.

Max D Lederer Jr, the longtime publisher of the United States military publication Stars and Stripes, announced his retirement in a memo to staff on Tuesday.

In his memo, Lederer suggested that he had clashed with the administration of US President Donald Trump. He confirmed his resignation in an interview with Stars and Stripes.

You might think that the person behind some of the most grueling ideas in games would have an air of villainy behind him. In actuality, Hidetaka Miyazaki is just a chill guy. The president of FromSoftware and director of its many games (Elden Ring, Bloodborne, etc.) is more interested in honing his own ideas and making games he'd want to play, despite by his own admission, not being too great at action games himself.
