The Mandalorian and Grogu Gets Disney+ Release Date in September After Failing to Take Off in Theaters

Disney has revealed a September release date for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on Disney+ after the movie underperformed in theaters with $345 million worldwide.

The Mickey Mouse company announced the streaming update today, confirming plans to bring its latest spinoff film to the service starting September 2. Although Pedro Pascal and his little green friend didn't bring in groundbreaking numbers when The Mandalorian and Grogu premiered May 22, 2026, their new streaming home should give it a second chance to click with audiences.
