2027 GMC Sierra 1500 Starting Prices Spike with New Generation

  • The 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 will go on sale later this year, and we now know how much the four-wheel-drive crew-cab models will cost.
  • The Sierra 1500 Pro’s starting price rises $1955 to $51,295, while the mid-tier Elevation now opens at $59,995, a $3600 increase.
  • The off-road-ready AT4 and AT4X’s prices are up by $2700 and $3100, respectively; the Denali now starts at $76,795 (up $4105), but the Denali Ultimate is only $205 more than before.

GMC pulled the covers off the new next-generation Sierra 1500 earlier this summer, but we’ve been patiently waiting for more information about its specs and pricing. GM recently shared details about the truck’s new powertrain options, which are highlighted by all-new small-block V-8s. Now, GMC has released prices for its new Sierra 1500, though only for the four-wheel-drive crew-cab models, almost all of which have risen by a few thousand dollars.

For 2027, the Sierra 1500 lineup still kicks off with the entry-level Pro, which now starts at $51,295. That’s a $1955 increase compared with last year’s four-wheel-drive crew-cab version. GMC purists might be sad to learn that the long-running SLE and SLT models have been dropped. That makes the familiar Elevation trim level the new middle ground; it starts at $59,995 for 2027 (up $3600). Both trucks get the updated 350-hp 2.7-liter turbo four standard, but they can be optioned with the Duramax diesel 3.0-liter straight-six (still with 495 pound-feet of torque) or the new 402-hp 5.7-liter V-8. An eight-speed automatic is the only transmission available on all of GMC’s half-ton trucks.

Meanwhile, the AT4 and AT4X remain the most off-road-focused Sierra 1500 models and were only ever offered with a crew cab and four-wheel drive. The AT4’s base price rises $2700 to $73,495, and the AT4X’s base price rises $3100 to $85,495. Along with a two-inch lift, they both have knobby all-terrain tires measuring 34 inches tall on the AT4 and 35 inches tall on the AT4X. The latter also debuts Mutlimatic jounce control dampers as well as a plethora of Denali-like luxury features. The AT4 comes standard with the 5.7-liter V-8, but the diesel engine is available too. The AT4X defaults with the diesel, but it can be equipped with the 481-hp 6.6-liter V-8.

The new Sierra 1500 Denali starts at $76,795, which represents a $4105 spike versus its predecessor. It comes standard with the 5.7-liter V-8, but the 6.6-liter version and the Duramax diesel are both optional. Every Denali also features a specially tuned suspension as well as an interior that’s covered in upscale materials. The Technology package includes an 11.5-inch touchscreen display that’s built into the dashboard facing the front-seat passenger.

Now starting at $87,895, the top-of-the-line Denali Ultimate’s price has only increased by $205. It continues to have the fanciest features as well as the more luxurious interior materials. Its standard engine is the mighty 6.6-liter V-8, which packs a heady 501 pound-feet of torque, but customers can also opt for the diesel if they want similar amounts of torque and better fuel economy.

The 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 will reach dealerships before the year ends. GMC also says it will share pricing details about the truck’s other available cab styles and cargo beds as production grows.
