Armchair experts from every corner of the internet have labeled the new Honda Prelude as a flop or a poor representation of the car's past. But for those who have actually driven the new Prelude, they know that it's an enjoyable little car, even if it isn't some fire-breathing monster. For anyone alright with that, allow us to introduce you to the new 2027 Limited Edition Prelude that Honda just revealed for the Japanese market.

As you can see, the Limited Edition is quite the looker. The Prelude already has an attractive silhouette, and the newly revealed dark red paint, which Honda calls Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic, only accentuates the look. The special edition also gets its front upper grille molding finished in the same Crystal Garnet color, with red accents added to the front splitter and rear diffuser.

The interior is equally visually stimulating, with red accent stitching on the steering wheel, door cards, and dashboard. Speaking of the dashboard, the Prelude name, written in stitching, pops out thanks to its red coloring. The rest of the cabin, including the leather front seats, is finished in a burgundy color called Bordeaux.

Honda hasn't revealed exactly how many examples of the Limited Edition Prelude it will build, but the model will be sold exclusively in Japan. Perhaps to make us even more jealous of the special edition, the price is just as enticing as the colorway. Based on current exchange rates, the Limited Edition starts at $38,933, which is $1000 less than the standard version costs in Japan and considerably less expensive than the $43,195 starting price for the Prelude sold on our shores.
