Red, White, and Blown: Roush's 'Red Edition' Ford F-150 Supercharger Kit Salutes America
- Roush has released a special Red Edition supercharger kit for 2021–2026 Ford F-150 models with the 5.0-liter V-8.
- The Red Edition is a limited-production release that was created to celebrate the company turning 50 and America's 250th birthday.
- The $8899.99 kit costs the same as the existing one, albeit with a red-painted supercharger housing; both increase output to 705 horsepower and 635 pound-feet of torque.
The engineers at Roush are no strangers to big numbers. They already make a kit to supercharge the 5.0-liter V-8s in 2021-and-newer Ford F-150s, giving them 705 horsepower. Now, just in time for two big-number birthdays, that kit is available in a new color: red.

The Red Edition supercharger kit costs the same $8899.99 as the package with a run-of-the-mill black blower on top. Both kits include parts to make way for and back up the additional output, such as a forged aluminum crankshaft damper, a new air intake, a larger radiator, an intercooler, new spark plugs, and the software to extract that power. The 2.65-liter roots-type supercharger with twin four-lobe rotors also boosts torque to a claimed 635 pound-feet.
The difference, as we've said, is the red paint applied to the supercharger housing. Roush is using the coincidental occasions of its 50th birthday and the country's 250th to roll out the special finish. Red is used in the performance shop's logo and—as you likely know in July of 2026—is one of the three colors of the U.S. flag. It's the same red, although a different supercharger cap, used on Roush's kit for current-generation 5.0-liter Ford Mustangs, that one available in 740- and 810-hp flavors.

Roush doesn't make any claims regarding timed performance with this package, and those results will vary depending on the configuration of the F-150 you strap it to. But to get an idea, in our hands, an F-150 with Ford's own FP700 kit—it makes only 700 horses and 590 pound-feet of torque—hit 60 mph in a respectable 4.2 seconds. Meanwhile, an F-150 Raptor R, the one with the 720-hp 5.2-liter V-8 and tires that aren't exactly meant for the street, performed the same feat in 3.6 seconds. Let's just assume it's quick.
Interestingly, Roush makes no claims about this being a once-in-a-lifetime offer. Indeed, the product page for the Red Edition kit ambivalently holds the door open for future reddening, saying, "We're not promising this color comes back. We're also not promising it won't." Perhaps it will be reserved for the celebration of corporate anniversaries divisible by 50. Either way, if you want one, now's the time to act.
